The SPRY Method

The Spry Method is all about combinations

Every pattern of movement in a SPRY Functional Fitness Program combines 4 components together

1. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENTS - squat, lunge, push, pull, carry, hinge, rotation

2. COORDINATED BALANCE with CORE MUSCLE ENGAGEMENT

3. UPPER BODY MOVEMENTS with HANDHELD EQUIPMENT

4. NAVIGATING OBSTACLES with COURSE EQUIPMENT

The SPRY Method is the combination of these 4 components and is found in every movement pattern that makes up a SPRY Functional Fitness Program. The combinations are just like the functional movements we use in real life.

Seniors can "Practice Real Life" and improve their ability to complete their daily functional tasks and activities.

  • Stay Independent

  • Stay Home

  • Stay Balanced

SPRY Functional Fitness Programs are different than typical static exercises because they have been designed to mimic the movement patterns we use for real life activities.

Seniors understand they need to exercise in order to stay fit and healthy but what they want to know is which exercises will actually make a difference in their day to day lives. What exercises will keep them:

  • functioning independently

  • in their own home

  • with less risk of falling

The Spry Method is that difference. The exercise alternative for seniors that has you practicing real life movements.

The key with the SPRY Method is that it combines movements together in the same way we move to function.
